If I was Father Christmas

If I was Father Christmas
I would transform your tears
Into diamonds and precious stones
To share with the whole world.

If I was Father Christmas
I would rewrite your fears
Into beautiful musical tones
To keep them safe and furled.

If I was Father Christmas
I would give you many years
Away from groans and moans
Your soul would be so twirled.

If I was Father Christmas
I would sing you many cheers
And happiness into your bones
You would dance past me whirled.
